Our Workshops

The online temple is a place where people can come together and continuously practice alone or with the Sangha. It will reinforce the idea that any place where you are can be a temple. It is not necessarily a virtual temple. It is also a place with a community.

The Bodhisattva Path: Meditation and Contemplation

Contemplation and Meditation are the two wings of the Bodhisattva path. Contemplation helps us to have realization, Meditation enables us to settle what we have realized and transform it into attainment.
In this session we share our experience and thoughts on various fundamental aspects of the Bodhisattva path: Impermanence, Gratitude, Kindness, Endurance, Non-Duality and many others. Then, we meditate in silence and calm our thoughts.
We learn how to be serene, peaceful and wholesome in the middle of our busy lives.
Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome to this session.

Sozialer Buddhismus im täglichen Leben

Learning and understanding Buddhist teachings is one thing, but how do we apply them in daily life? We address everything we encounter in daily life—challenges in family, work, and leisure—from our perspective as practicing Buddhists.

How do we approach topics like work-life balance, health and illness, poverty and wealth, giving and receiving, greed and the pursuit of power, youth and aging, and many other socio-political issues? Can perseverance, appreciation, and a relaxed mind help us in this?

Wednesdays 19:00 – 19:30

Language: German

Buddhismus für Anfänger / Buddhism for beginners

What is Buddhism about? Why is meditation practiced? What does the Buddha’s teaching say? This course offers the opportunity to ask any questions you have about Buddhism. Based on your questions, you will receive an introduction to Buddhism, particularly focusing on our approach, which is Social Buddhism.

Joy of Healthy Cooking: Recipes and Nutrition

At the monastery in Hawaii, as well as through many daily reminders, we receive recommendations from Dae Poep Sa Nim on how to easily implement our small contributions to healthy eating.

To this end, we present various dishes from the monastery.

You’ll get new ideas for incorporating healthy eating into your everyday life. Cooking should bring joy and make us, our families, and our friends happy.

Take a look and find out how you feel when recreating the recipes.

Once a month, on Wednesdays from 8:15 PM to 9:00 PM.
